the story behind Indie Book Bus
Hi there! Welcome to Indie Book Bus, a dream-on-wheels fueled by my passion for literature and community. Our mission is to spread the joy of reading and build a community of book lovers of all ages.
We plan to travel across the county, bringing a curated selection of books and literary goodies directly to local events, businesses, and community gatherings. Our goal? To make your literary journey fun, memorable, and oh-so-satisfying.
Ever since I was little, I've dreamed of opening my own bookstore. I'd wander past retail spaces and think, “My shop would be perfect right here.” I always thought it was a far-off dream because of the financial challenges and the busyness of life. Then one day, while scrolling through #vanlife on Instagram (a girl can dream, right? lol), I stumbled across mobile bookstores and thought, “This is it!” A mobile bookshop was the perfect way to make my dream come true, with hopes of a physical location someday.
Indie Book Bus will offer a unique and exciting way to discover new reads at local events, festivals, and popular gathering spots. Our mobility will allow us to cater to diverse interests and preferences, making book shopping a dynamic and flexible experience. Plus, we’re all about fostering a sense of community, giving book lovers a chance to connect, share recommendations, and dive into literary discussions. Our charming, roving bookstore will not only promote literacy but also add a novel twist to any event, making the experience fun and unforgettable.
So come along for the ride and let’s spread the love of books together!
& the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.

a little about the owner
Hey, I’m Angela! My love for books started in childhood, inspired by my grandma, who is an avid reader. I enjoy a wide range of literature, with some of my favorite authors being James Patterson, Taylor Jenkins Reid, and Sarah J. Maas. What I love most about being part of the book-selling community is sharing my passion for reading, helping people find their next favorite book, and building connections through book club discussions. When I’m not reading or running Indie Book Bus, you’ll find me playing disc golf, a hobby I discovered and became obsessed with during the pandemic. With Indie Book Bus, I aim to create a strong network with local businesses, keep our mobile bookstore thriving for years, and eventually open a physical location.
